Ian Blackshaw is and International Sports Lawyer with a Master's Degree in International Sports Law. He also holds several Visiting Professorships; is a Fellow of the International Sports Law Centre at the TMC Asser Instituut, The Hague; and is a member of the Court of Arbitration for Sport, Lausanne, Switzerland, and the UK Sports Dispute Resolution Panel, London. He is the author of many articles and several Books, including 'Sports Marketing - The Legal and Tax Aspects' and 'Mediating Sports Disputes - National and International Perspectives'; Editor of 'Sports Image Rights in Europe' and 'The Court of Arbitration for Sport 1984-2004'; and Co-Author with Simon Gardiner (and others) of 'Sports Law' (Third Edition 2006). He also frequently chairs and speaks at International Sports Law Conferences around the world.
