Rory MacNeice is a partner in the sports unit at Ashfords. A former professional National Hunt Jockey, he is recognised for his work in sport, and in particular in horseracing by the Legal 500 and Chambers Directory of the Legal Profession.
His recent work has included defending UK racecourses against a £380 million claim over TV rights to UK horse racing in Russia and the former eastern bloc countries.
He advised a leading racehorse trainer in relation to his involvement in the BBC ‘Kenyan Confronts’ programme and represented jockey Sean Fox in his successful appeal against allegations that he jumped off a horse during a race.
Rory also acts for champion jockey Tony McCoy as well as clubs and players in football and rugby.
