Sarah Brown joined Olswang in September 2002 as a solicitor in the Media Litigation Department.
Sarah specialises in media law, including defamation, copyright, trade mark and privacy. She has acted on a number of significant libel and privacy actions and has provided pre- publication advice to media clients. She has a particular specialism in the evolving law of privacy, having previously acted for Hello! magazine in its original successful application to the Court of Appeal to discharge the injunction obtained by Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas. She also acts for corporate claimants, often advising on how to manage damaging publicity. She also reviews film scripts for legal problems. Sarah writes and speaks on media law matters including for The Guardian and BBC Radio 5.
