Antony Bebawi graduated from Bristol with an LLB and qualified in 1997, joining Harbottle & Lewis in 1998 where he is a partner specialising in all aspects of the music industry.
Antony provides advice to a wide range of music and media clients. His work includes advising on all areas of the music business including recording, publishing, licensing, production, merchandising and sponsorship agreements as well as advising his clients generally in connection with the protection of copyrights and other intellectual property or similar rights.
Antony is particularly highly regarded for his expertise in on- line and new media issues relating to music. In addition to advising his music clients in this area he also advises multimedia and telecommunications clients in connection with the licensing, clearance or acquisition of the appropriate rights for inclusion of music in new media products and services.
Antony has produced articles for titles such as In-House Lawyer and attends major industry conferences such as MIDEM in Cannes and the Dance Convention in Miami. He is an active speaker at both in-house seminars and externally organised conferences and has addressed the DDMI Europe 2001 (Digital Distribution and the Music Industry) conference in London and also spoke at the Dance Forum at In the City.
