Vanessa McKinlay

Vanessa McKinlay is head of the Clinical Negligence Practice Group at St John's Chambers. Prior to being called to the Bar, Vanessa worked as a Senior Chartered Physiotherapist in the NHS and in private practice. During her ten years of clinical experience she specialised in the treatment of neurological conditions. Vanessa has experience of a range of Claimant and Defendant work in the field of personal injury. She is also experienced in employers' liability claims, road traffic matters, occupiers' liability and highways accidents. Vanessa has developed a busy clinical negligence practice, this being a field for which she has a particular enthusiasm. Cases in which she has acted have included the following: epiphyseal injuries in minors, obstetric and gynaecological cases, ophthalmic cases, dental negligence, orthopaedic surgery cases and general practitioners' negligence.
