He is a specialist criminal silk with wide experience prosecuting and defending in a vast number of complex, grave and high profile cases. He is described in Chambers and Partners Directory of 2008 as a "leading silk on circuit." The cases he has conducted include murder, manslaughter, serious sexual offences, substantial and complicated conspiracies to import and supply drugs, money laundering, general fraud, VAT fraud, mortgage fraud, trading standards conspiracies and corporate manslaughter. He also practices in family law (especially care proceedings involving physical and sexual abuse, neglect and cases with expert evidence to consider), European and human rights law and mental health law. Sadie Crapper - 3 Paper Buildings, Temple Sadie Crapper practises from 3PB Barristers specialising in police law, personal injury and public law work. Before training to become a barrister, she worked in the Force Solicitor's department of Thames Valley Police in 2003/2004 developing her interest in and knowledge of policing and civil actions against the police. In particular, she was involved in the early stages of the Laporte v Chief Constable of Gloucester Police case in which the TVP was an interested party. The majority of this time was within the CID, where he was involved in the investigation of major crime. He is a trained interview coordinator and experienced covert source manager.He is now the Director of a successful construction company and provides a service in vetting Police files for defence purposes. Mark Evans QC - Temple Chambers Mark Evans QC practices at Temple Chambers in Cardiff and Newport. He is a specialist in high profile cases in family and criminal Law. He now sits as a Recorder (in Civil, Family and Criminal jurisdictions) and a Deputy High Court Judge in the Chancery and Mercantile Courts. Professor Paul Rogers - University of Glamorgan Professor Paul Rogers has worked in Forensic Mental Health for over 20 years. Additionally he trained in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) 15 years ago at the Institute of Psychiatry, Kings College, London. He has an excellent understanding of the mental health issues associated with miscarriages of justice as well as experiences of treating such cases. He specializes in the assessment and treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder and has published widely on CBT treatment and the conditions for which CBT treats. He has been on numerous mental health related national and international advisory groups and is an editorial board member on four mental health, academic journals as well as being a peer reviewer on a number of others. Nick Thomas-Symonds - Civitas Law Nick Thomas-Symonds is a barrister at Civitas Law, Cardiff. Nick practices in Chancery, business and consumer law including professional negligence as well as public law, planning and regulatory matters and personal injury.
